Q3 2026 set a record with 27 billion-dollar rounds. Looking across the deals PageArchi covered, a handful of investors appear again and again. Explore every round in our Deal Tracker.
Andreessen Horowitz: everywhere
a16z co-led Armadin's $255.5 million Series B with Accel, co-led EliseAI's $350 million round with Bessemer, and returned for Valon's $150 million Series D. It also raised a dedicated hardware fund.
Benchmark and Sequoia: speed at any price
Benchmark co-led Instinct's $250 million Series B with Index Ventures in late August, then joined Sequoia and Coatue in its $1 billion Series C about a month later — at four times the valuation.
Growth equity and banks
Insight Partners led Wonderful's $550 million Series C, with Salesforce joining. Goldman Sachs Alternatives put $400 million into Cyera. These checks look more like pre-IPO financings than classic venture.
The hedge-fund crowd
General Intuition's $220 million round drew Valor Equity Partners, Atreides, Point72 and Seven Seven Six alongside Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst — a sign that public-market investors want earlier exposure to AI labs.
The pattern: a few firms with the biggest funds are concentrating capital in a small number of AI companies, and pricing in very fast growth.
