Bessemer Venture Partners has raised $5.75 billion in new capital in a single close, according to the firm and its legal adviser Kirkland & Ellis. The money is split between $1.75 billion for seed and early-stage investments and $4 billion for its dedicated growth platform.
Roughly 70% of Bessemer's investments are made at the early stage, an approach the firm says it will keep. Alternatives Watch reported that its flagship fund, Bessemer Venture Partners XIII, closed at $3.4 billion; coverage differs on exactly how the total breaks down by vehicle.
An AI-heavy portfolio
Since 2022, Bessemer says it has backed more than 260 AI-native companies and invested over $3 billion across computing infrastructure, foundation models, developer platforms, enterprise applications and AI agents. Recent bets covered by PageArchi include EliseAI, where it co-led a $350 million round, and Wonderful.
Why growth, why now
The growth allocation reflects a market in which technology companies stay private longer and raise large amounts before listing. Bigger growth checks let early-stage firms keep backing winners instead of handing the later rounds to crossover funds.
